Cooper's dead. But what's a nerd to do when Heaven doesn't believe in technology, and hell's hotter than an overclocked CPU? Panicking and running away back to Earth seems a perfectly logical reaction, especially since his beloved computer hasn't come with him. Of course, what to do then is a bit of a puzzle that only Linda can solve...
Cooper says
"I'm dead.
"This is sorta ####ing me off.
"I don't know what happened, though. One moment I was on my way to visit my girlfriend with a big bunch of flowers, and the next I saw a big bright light and a cloud and a crowd of dudes in dresses carrying harps. Holy ####, I thought, I'm dead! Then I thought - #####, that looks like a church choir, all low-tech and acoustic and stuff. That's not where I wanna be. Bet they don't have a single computer, or if they do it's like a 386 or something, all filled with dustbunnies. There's no way I'm getting stuck in a low-tech shiny place like that with acoustic music everywhere. That's a freaky version of hell. #### no. So I ran, or flew or something the #### away, and now I'm back home and I'm still dead.
"I think maybe my girlfriend killed me."
Linda says
"Oh Lord, a few stubbies short of a sixpack as well as too dumb to go to heaven. This one's gonna be a barrel of fun. "
Krystal says
"I can't believe the stupid little ######## thinks I did him in. Now I wish like #### that I had. What the #### is wrong with him? ####ing self-absorbed moron, can't believe he killed himself through arrant stupidity, so he's got to blame the only person who ever put up with him for more than five ####ing minutes."

I read book one of this series about a year ago and really enjoyed it. It was fun, refreshing, not too serious, and it reminded me of the television series "Being Human" (the original British one, of course). I read it right after reading a long, serious book and I decided that I needed something to clear out my brain so I could move on to something else. The same thing happened this time. I've been reading some 1950's sci/fi for the last month (about 50 short stories in all) and I needed something to clean out the old brain case and I decided to try Dead(ish) Book 2. I'm glad I did.(technically) Dead is a fast pace book that is mostly written in the first person. The author writes each chapter from the perspective of one of the characters. Sometimes the dialogue gets repeated but that's okay, because it is related from the other persons perspective and the way it is done, it works. I love Linda (ghost/angel in waiting). She's badass but cool and deep down she's a nice person (ghost).
I don't want to give much away as it is a short story but I will say that you should never piss off a ghost, especially a ghost who would rather be in heaven in a hot tub, getting her feet rubbed and drinking Bailey's.
If you want a fun read, download this book. For the price and the writing it's a good pick.

Technically Dead DEADish Book 2 edition by Naomi Kramer Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This book is ok because it was starting to get boring before any of the good books so I had to suffer through some parts. But I have read the next book and it is amazing! I just think she can make her stories a little bit longer because I finished it in one hour.
A good read
Here we go again! Linda is back and still Dead(ish). This time she is just chilling in heaven, when she is given an assignment to help a newly dead computer nerd find his afterlife. Linda is non too happy about the job but what the heck right?. She goes back to earth, contacts the investigator Trent, and its off to the races with another funny and wild ride. This is book 2 in the Dead series. I enjoyed this one as well as i did the first although its not quite as funny as the first one. The writing is solid and I like the characters. I'm looking forward to the next one and hopefully even more in the series.
I thought the first book was pretty good. Right after finishing it, I went ahead and bought the rest of the books in the series. They were nothing like the first book. It was a struggle to try to get through them because it just became ridiculous. Was it even the same author?
No real plot, no character development and a waste of time.
I loved this story. It wasn't as vengeful as Dead(ish), but it was still an enjoyable read. I love hearing Linda's antics, and this time she has a partner. Cooper was definitely the typical nerd that has nothing going for him in his regular life. That is until he discovers what he can do as a ghost. This series continues to make me smile and laugh.
Cooper's dead and is shocked as hell to discover that Heaven is technologically challenged with not a single computer in site. Screw that, he quickly returns back to Earth to walk around bored and confused until Linda shows up with orders from on high to help his lardass find peace.
I was a huge fan of the first story in this series, Dead(ish) and I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. Though I don't particularly like Cooper, he's story was quite amusing and you still get plenty of Linda's bad attitude to help it along. Trent also makes an appearance and that had me over the moon because I loved him in the first one. My only complaint is that this seemed shorter than the first one. But then, I felt like the first one was a bit short as well....and it's probably only because I just want more of Linda & Trent!
If you liked Dead(ish) or are into comedic stories with tons of foul language, this is definitely for you!
After reading DEAD(ish) Book 1 I immediately purchased the other two books of the series. I liked the concept of this book but really Cooper was way too whiny for me to be able to deal with. I still enjoyed the dark and crude humor that carried over from the first book but I didn't really care for the overall story or character development for this one. It felt really flat for me and I didn't feel any real emotion at the end of the story. I was just kind of glad I didn't have to read about Cooper anymore, he was just so annoying. My thoughts on Cooper, however, had nothing to do with his love for computers or that his heaven is inside a computer. Heaven is whatever you make it so I understand their "ruling" that Cooper is OK with where he is because at least he's moved on. I love the idea that the author wrote this story about a total nerd who is so into video games. But being a gamer myself and knowing many people who play the types of games that are referenced in this book, I found the stereotype gamer used in this story to be pretty insulting. Linda, however, was awesome and I loved her reactions to the stupidity that was Cooper. Because of that I completely related to her, I seriously just wanted to strangle Cooper through the whole story. Too bad he was already dead.
Conclusion
Least favorite out of the three by far but would recommend it if you enjoyed the first one and would like to continue reading about Linda. Reading about her character alone makes up for my lack of interest in Cooper and for $.99 it really is worth it.
